A Clean handkerchief or other clean, linen or cotton cloth (cheesecloth will also work great)

Step 1:  Take a handkerchief and place it over the coffee mug. You will need a pouch in the middle big enough to hold the serving coffee ground. Gently press in the middle to make it.

Step 2: When the pouch is ready, secure the handkerchief this way and make sure the handkerchief doesn’t fall into the hug. (I did it with rubber).

Step 3: Now, pour an adequate amount of coffee grounds on the pouch and pour little hot water over it. Wait until the coffee ground soaks completely. It will take around 30 seconds.

Step 4: When it is soaked, carefully pour the rest of the hot water but don’t rush. While you are pouring, keep an eye on the rubber or cloth clips you put into holding the handkerchief to stop it from slipping.

Step 2: When the water is boiled, take a coffee mug and place an adequate coffee ground into it. For every six ounces of water, 1-2 tbsp coffee grounds will be ok. Or you can add according to the way you like to have coffee.

Step 3: Then, take hot water and pour it into the coffee mug over the coffee grounds.

Step 4: Now stir the mixture and let it steep for a few minutes. Around four minutes will be ok. It will boost the flavor.

Step 1: Using a measuring cup add five ounces of water into a small pot. If you want, you can also use an espresso cup to measure water, but you have to be very careful.

Step 2: Then pour one tbsp coffee into it but don’t stir and add one tbsp of sugar over it. You can add more or less according to your likeness. You can add a little salt into the pot; it will add a more interesting flavor.

Step 3: Place the pot on heat and start boiling. The coffee will sink when the water starts boiling.

Step 4: Now stir it and lower the heat. Then simmer the coffee mixture on low heat for two or three minutes, but the heat should not be too high, or you will not get the desired taste.

A Fresh Egg

Coarsely Ground Coffee

Room-temp Water

Ice Cold Water


A Cup or Small bowl

A Cloth filter (You can use a clean cheesecloth or handkerchief)

Step 1:  Take a small pot or saucepan, add one cup of water and boil at room temperature. One cup of water is enough for one cup of coffee. You can add more if you want more.

Step 2: When the water is boiling, take a cup and break the egg into it, and put the egg into the boiling water.

Step 3: When the egg is crushed and mixed up, add coffee grounds into the saucepan. And stir them together.

Step 4: When water is boiled, add the slurry into it. After that, boil the mixture for another three to five minutes. Be careful so that coffee does not overflow.

Step 5: And when the slurry clumps up into a big chunk and floats at the top, splash it in your ice-cold water. One cup of ice water will be ok.

Step 6: Then allow it to settle for one minute. During this time, the chunks and coffee grounds will also settle in the bottom.

Step 7: After one minute, place a clean cloth over the coffee mug. Now slowly and carefully pour the coffee through the filter. 

And your coffee is ready to serve. Now take a sip and enjoy your coffee.
