This buffalo chicken pizza is full of spicy buffalo sauce, chicken, and drizzled with a creamy ranch dressing. It’s a fun recipe for game night.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

And if you are a fan of all things Buffalo when it comes to food, you’ve got to try this pizza! This Buffalo Chicken Pizza Recipe is just as easy to make as a regular pizza, but instead of tomato sauce, we’ll be making Frank’s bechamel. Bechamel sauce is what they typically use for white pizza, so it has that wonderfully creamy base, but with that spicy flavor that’s classic in Buffalo Sauce.

Ingredients

For the dough:

  • 3/4cup warm water
  • 1/2teaspoon active dry yeast
  • Pinchof sugar
  • 2cups flour bread or all-purpose works well here
  • 3tablespoons olive oil

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

Toppings:

  • 4ounces cream cheese
  • 1teaspoon Ranch dressing seasoning the powder
  • 1cup chopped cooked chicken
  • 1/2cup Frank’s Red Hot Sauce
  • 8ounces mozzarella grated
  • Ranch dressing prepared for serving, if desired

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]

Directions

  1. To make the dough, place the warm water in the bowl of a stand mixer. And then sprinkle the yeast on top and let bloom, about 10 minutes.
  2. Add the flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture and turn the mixer (fitted with the dough hook) to medium. Knead until the dough comes together to form a smooth dough. Remove dough to an oiled bowl and place it in the oven with the light turned on.
  3. Let rise for one hour, or until doubled in bulk.
  4. When the dough has doubled, punch it down.
  5. Preheat the oven to 500 degrees.
  6. Roll the dough out on a well-floured surface to a 12-inch circle and place on a pizza stone or pan.
  7. To prepare the pizza, in a small saucepan over low heat, melt the cream cheese, stirring constantly to prevent it from burning on the bottom of the pan.
  8. Once the cream cheese has melted, spread it evenly over the pizza crust and sprinkle with the ranch seasoning powder.
  9. Sprinkle all but 1/4 cup of the cheese over the crust.
  10. Toss the chicken with the hot sauce to coat and put the chunks of chicken evenly over the cheese.
  11. Top with the remaining cheese.
  12. Bake for 10 minutes or until the dough is golden and the cheese has melted.
  13. Drizzle ranch dressing over the pizza before serving, if desired.

What is buffalo chicken pizza?

  • It’s basically the most epic of all pizzas, ha-ha
  • Its shredded chicken tossed in spicy buffalo sauce then topped with blue cheese and ranch.
  • I mean, it’s basically buffalo chicken wings in a less messy form.
  • And everything on one portable device: a pizza crust.
  • Can I use store-bought pizza dough for this?
  • Yes! I encourage it.

However, the store-bought meaning fresh pizza dough that the bakery has made in the refrigerated section and not the canned pizza dough. If you are going all out and wanting this to be 100% homemade, I have this homemade pizza dough blend you can use!

How spicy is this buffalo chicken pizza?

It’s as spicy as you want it to be! I know typically, buffalo wing sauce can be fairly spicy but I think they sell milder versions now.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Can this be frozen?

No. This needs to be made the day of and eaten the day of.

Does this buffalo chicken pizza use any kind of sauce?

It uses the blue cheese dressing as the tomato sauce.

How would you reheat this?

If you have a toaster oven, this would be best reheated that way or in the oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 7-10 minutes.

Blue Cheese or Ranch?

I LOOOVE blue cheese dressing but if you aren’t a fan of blue cheese, you could sub in ranch.

OR, if you love both, you could dip the crust in ranch and put the blue cheese on the pizza. YUM!
